Welcome to Dili

These vanilla beans are grown in Timor-Leste which is in the Timor Sea, an arm of the Indian Ocean, lying southeast of the island of Timor, Indonesia, and northwest of Australia. Timor-Leste vanilla beans are hard to get your hands on. These dark, fleshy pods are full of seeds and their length varies between 18 to 22 cm.

These Grade A gourmet Timor-Leste vanilla beans are long and slender and have a high oil and moisture content of 30-35%. Timor-Leste vanilla beans are a great addition to add to desserts or beverages to boost sweet, fruity, or rich flavors. Timor-Leste vanilla beans come from the Planifolia variety like Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar.

Smell lovely, no discernible oils in package.

Looking forward to my extract made with this bean. Was surprise there were not oils on the beans nor in the package.

Timor-Leste is the BEST!

I have 6 different bean extractions in process. To date- Timor-Leste is already smelling rich and wonderfully Vanilla after only 2 months. The others are interesting but this is definitely my favorite. Just ordered 8 more ounces.

Great beans!

I got very excited when I saw the package, they looked perfect. It’s only been a week since I started my extract and it honestly smells and looks like I could use it already. I will be back for more once I run out.

Timor Leste

I have purchased vanilla beans from Native Vanilla in the past and am ALWAYS pleased, I love their philosophy. But WOW, I just made extract with these Timor-Lest beans, it's only been about a week so I have a long way to go before it's ready, but WOW it already smells so amazing and different from any other vanilla. This will definitely become part of my private stock.

Vanuatu Vanilla Beans

Vanuatu is a difficult vanilla bean to find, it has a flavor profile that is unlike any other bean. The aroma and taste is reminiscent of ginger, nutmeg and hints of cinnamon and sandalwood. These beans are plump, dark and rich in oils. Light spirits would be best for extracting these beans, I have put mine in Cognac.
