Description:
Native Vanilla beans bring a tantalizingly delicious flavor and aroma to any recipe. Our Tahitian Vanilla Beans are hand selected from the finest curing processes by our micro-farmer cooperative in PNG’s East Sepik province and are certified Grade B, premium quality vanilla beans. Grade B vanilla beans are shorter with a lower moisture content of 20-25% and are perfect for making vanilla extract.

Store the fresh vanilla beans in a tightly sealed airtight container, preferably a glass jar. Keep them away from heat and in a dark place such as a pantry or dark cabinet. Do not refrigerate the beans because this can cause them to mold.

We hope you get as much satisfaction from these vanilla beans in your recipes as we do in bringing them to you. Native Vanilla is about a lot more than beans. We are a company that is passionate about helping people. We strive to improve communities in Papua New Guinea by providing training and resources to micro-farmers. Then they can raise the yield and quality of their crop thereby improving their financial security. Native Vanilla is focused on, assisting around 400 micro-farmers, with plans to double that number within a year. When you purchase Native Vanilla products remember this; you’re not only getting the world’s finest vanilla; you’re also doing a world of good.

Excellent!!

I bought 3 packs of 10 to make vanilla extract. Thinking I needed that many in case some were dry or unusable. I was so wrong! They are very moist, super easy to split and scrape and have a spectacular soft floral smell. I will definitely be buying these again

Extract grade, but good enough for regular use

I purchased the Tahitian Grade B beans a year and a half ago, so I have had plenty of time to actually use them before writing this review. I always have had mixed feelings about vanilla in any form, I find the smell and taste often cloying and overpowering. Not so with these beans! The Tahitian beans have a lovely light and floral smell and actually cured me of my vanilla-reluctance! These are marketed as extract beans, however, they are good enough to use for regular baking (which is what I am using them for), they are not overly dry and are still easy to split and scrape. I don't use vanilla very often, so I am still going through my initial purchase, I store them in a ziplock bag, making sure to squeeze out as much air as possible, and so far the beans have kept really well.

Good service, lovely beans

Impressive

So far, I can only comment on the speed of delivery...which was disturbingly fast! I will put the bean pods to "swimming" soon, and as long as the gift recipients have the required patience, we'll know in about a year how well the process went!
